Karate-chopping cats cause mischief in Wazdan’s new Hold the Jackpot online slot- Midnight in Tokyo

Adding to its recent multi-award nominations news, online casino software provider Wazdan Ltd. has enhanced its Hold the Jackpot arsenal, adding its new “claw-some” Asian adventure, Midnight in Tokyo, to the mix.

The Malta-based game supplier’s 5-reel 243+ ways to win video slot invites players to join a group of cat warriors as they hit the busy streets of Tokyo in search of jackpots and prizes up to 3000x the stake!

Feature-rich gameplay:

Complete with Hold the Jackpot, Wild Splitters, Gamble Feature, Buy Feature, and a 96.15 percent RTP, this latest installment in Wazdan’s Hold the Jackpot series does its best to keep things exciting.

Players will also find the new action-packed slot contains the game developer’s player-favorite customizable features, including adjustable speed, volatility, and the Buy Feature, which allows players to go straight to the Hold the Jackpot bonus round whenever they choose.

The game’s two types of Wild Splitters both increase the ways in which to win by utilizing Wazdan’s innovative splitter mechanic. Not only do wild symbols substitute for other symbols, they also split the symbols next to them. They will split into two if two adjacent symbols are present or into three if one adjacent symbol is present.

Symbols, bonuses and jackpots:

Ninja Cats, meanwhile, chop symbols adjacent horizontally, and the equally adorable Kung-Fu Cats are busy splitting symbols vertically, increasing the number of ways to win. Serving as the game’s Bonus symbol, the Geisha Cat symbol triggers the Bonus Jackpot Game when at least three of them land on the reels. When that happens, the Hold the Jackpot mechanic is in effect and players are taken to a 15-slot mini-grid set in a 5×3 layout. There they try to land more Bonus and Moon symbols. The initial three respins players are given resets every time a new symbol appears on the reels.

During this round, the Moon symbol contains a random cash value when it lands. When the round ends, all of the symbols’ cash values are totaled and then awarded to players. For its part, the Geisha Cat awards Jackpots, collecting five of them grants players the Major Jackpot of 150x while six Bonus symbols trigger the Grand Jackpot of 1,000x the stake. Moreover, with Jackpots, like cats, acting independently, once a player hits the Major Jackpot they can still earn the Grand Jackpot. So rather than earning only the highest one, it is possible for players to win BOTH of these prizes!

For icing on the cake, in the Unique Gamble feature (where applicable), players who manage to karate chop through a pile of bricks, double their win!

We found Midnight in Toyko to be a purr-fect choice for players looking for an oriental game with an adorable twist!

Also commenting on the charming new online slot, Chief Commercial Officer for Wazdan, Andrzej Hyla said in a company press release that the game sees their “players invited to explore the landscape of one of the world’s most famous cities while its feline citizens are up to mischief.”

The CCO added…

“With the Wild Splitters adding a unique twist to the reels and our popular Hold the Jackpot bonus round, Midnight in Tokyo is one of our most engaging titles yet.”
